A better link in three steps.
Know what changes, what stays, and why. The cleaner does not visit websites or follow redirects.
01 — Paste a link
Enter a full HTTP or HTTPS URL, or a web address without its scheme. CleanLink adds https:// to addresses missing a scheme, then checks that the URL is syntactically valid. It never fetches the URL.
02 — Identify known trackers
The cleaner examines the query string (the part after ?) and looks for a conservative list of tracking parameters. Examples include:
It removes utm_-prefixed campaign parameters and a small set of explicitly recognised tracking keys. Some keys, such as YouTube's si, are removed only on recognised domains. Generic keys such as id, q, page and ref remain intact.
03 — Review and copy
CleanLink returns your cleaned URL and lists the exact parameter names and values removed. It keeps other query items in their original order and encoding, and keeps URL fragments (the part after #).
What CleanLink cannot promise
A tracking parameter can sometimes also have a website-specific purpose. Removing it might affect attribution, redirects, or even a site's behaviour. CleanLink cannot guarantee every destination remains identical. It also cannot remove tracking embedded in a URL's path, first-party cookies, server-side redirects, or other techniques not on its list.
Always review a cleaned link before sharing it, especially for login, payment, invitation, account recovery, or other sensitive links. Avoid entering sensitive URLs into online tools unnecessarily.
